The Batman of Toronto had such a hit with his first video that he's back, and doing the town again. He's more assured and comfortable in front of the camera, though a little less spontaneous this time around, but still loads of fun. He's pretty badass, though he does seem to get a little dumbstruck around the ladies.

Very early in my career, one of my mentors advised me: 'never be the guy in the wacky outfit'.
Of course, this was before cosplay became popular in the west, and more importantly it was the '90s - the economy was flipping amazing! These are, it''s fair to say, different times, so dressing up as the Android logo and dancing for the attended masses at Mobile World Congress is perfectly respectable. Plus, it's not a bad way to see Barcelona, and the ladies dig it! Watch as Batgirl gets her groove on with these two droids, and brushes off a creepy, clingy Batman.

When cosplayers go beyond the cons and into the streets, hilarity and panic ensue. This guy dresses up in a Nolan-era Batsuit, complete with Christian Bale voice, and runs around Toronto shouting lines at the passers by. Some are in on the joke, obviously the really fun responses are from the people who are not expecting it and are freakin' terrified. That's how Batman works best, after all.

It's really just a guy in a hoodie really getting into the part, but he thinks he's a Captain America cosplayer, and that alone is reason to be concerned that the comic con pastime may be close to jumping the shark. Want to look like Cyclops? Come on, anyone who went from Jean Grey to Emma Frost has got it going on, amirate? Well for less than thirty dollars you can at least make a pretty sweet visor. The blasts, the way with the ladies, the tendency to feud with Wolverine - you've got to supply those. Peter Sorensen has written a handy tutorial at Lounge Geeks.

It's tempting to think that this cosplayer merged Captain America with the forces of the Dark Side to make a political statement, but if I had to guess I'd say he's just a hardcore fan with some excellent paint skills.

The general consensus is that this awesome pic is a combination of amazing costly and a hearty dose of Photoshop, but darned if it doesn't make me wish Christopher Nolan would stick around and do a Batgirl movie or three. Or that some ambitious TV producer would give the Birds of Prey series a reboot, maybe on AMC or FX where they really get hardcore with the action.

This adorable kitty's snarlface, combined with the fact that it's owner appears to be wearing some sort of super-protective sleeve amor while escorting it around the first annual Comickaze Expo, tells me that it has some real Red Lantern rage going on.
