Banned '93 Nintendo Commercial Revealed!

1993 was, put bluntly, a more innocent time. Relatively speaking, that is. I mean, here in New York City there was a store around the corner from my MacDougal Street apartment that OBVIOUSLY sold pot, where there is now an exotic tea shop - heck, drug use was such an accepted fact of life that our mayor stopped issuing arrests for public drug users (and many dealers), instead giving them tickets, traffic-violation style.
Where there is now a Disney store there were once strip joints of the "hey look at that C-section scar!" variety.
And yet, it was a simpler time. Herman's Head was pretty much the cutting edge of TV. We had not yet become accustomed as a society to seeing obnoxious heiresses' vagoplastied privates in our face on hi-def 24/7 - heck, there had only been like two seasons of The Real World - and The Jersey Shore was nothing more than the name of a short-lived FOX mid-season sitcom.
And a commercial featuring grafittit artists teaming with the Wu-Tang Clan in Williamsburg, Brooklyn for like the coolest promo ever?
Too real for TV. Until now.
Let's nostalgia, y'all!
