Nothing against Matt Smith - I think he's a great Doctor, but personally I was really hoping to see Philip Glenister of Life on Mars/Ashes to Ashes to take over the TARDIS when Tennant stepped down.

Having said that, I now think that the time may be right for a dog Doctor. Watching this boxer go toe-to-toe with a Dalek is just - well, it's just all kinds of awesome. Now, can we find him a nice fetching companion that wouldn't come off as creepy is the question...
