Again with the Onslaught?

The Clone Saga. Price gouging.  Endless variant covers. Why does Marvel, now one of the most bigggest names in entertainment, have a love affair with the business and storytelling practices that brought the company to its knees financially and creatively, leading to bankruptcy and near-extinction in the '90s? And why on Earth, after managing to build a massive mainstream fan base, a plurality of which were either never aware of these dark times or have forgotten them - are they bringing back the embodiment of their creative nadir, Onslaught?  For a second time, no less?

Wolverine in the Age of Onslaught: Marvel was so broke back then, they had to sell their nose-drawing machine to make rent.
